Rodney's Corner:1995 Score Promotional

Another day, another Rodney.

Recently my Rodney Hampton collection has been growing with help from myself and especially my friends. Friends like Wes who recently sent some along that filled some needed gaps. The lot even included a couple of cards I have never seen before.

Like today's. I didn't even have a 1995 Score Promotional card listed on my big Rodney Hampton checklist so I never knew this even existed.

 

It's simply the same Score front as the regular released base card

 

but features the big words PROMOTIONAL written across the back of the card.

I like adding in cards I haven't seen or am familiar with.

 

Speaking of being familiar and unfamiliar with. Here is a compilation of commercial breaks from 1995 I think you will enjoy and bring you back. Some of these I remember well, others I don't. Let me know which ones you do.

Week 2 Winner Jammin JD Sports Cards Promo

Well, Week 2 was a bit of a disappointment when it came to entries in this contest. Views were still good, but entries were way down. 14 down to be exact. That just means 14 people lost out on a chance to win FREE PACKS of cards and lost an extra entry towards the big prizes at the end.

I am also disappointed as this contest is open to Canadian residents as well and with so many of them complaining about my personal contests where I can't allow them to enter because of shipping costs, then only having two enter, seems kind of a bummer and a loss. I hope to see more enter in the final two weeks.

Week 1 of the Jammin JD Sport Cards Contest was a success! 35 entrants not only got entered to win a team lot of their choice, but they also earned one entry towards the Grand Prizes that will take place at the end of 4 weeks.

Jammin JD Sports Cards has released a new website and to celebrate you guys will be rewarded heavily!

Over the next 4 weeks you will be seeing a weekly contest with prizes. The more you enter, the more it puts you in the pot to win one of these two Grand Prizes such as....

Winner Of Our NY Giants/Panini America Promo

Well, just like this contest and my blog yesterday (published two stories that were meant for today), the NY Giants season just never seemed to take off the way we wanted. The Giants wins prevented us from giving more away. The amount of participants made us cut this contest a week short. But, when all is said and done, there is still a winner who will be taking home around 10 insert/rookie cards and a big congrats goes out to: JJ Hernandez!!

 As for the final week, this is how it went down. Zac Smith led JJ HERNANDEZ and @rjdub81 by one game. So we had two tiebreakers to separate things so we wouldn't have to take this game into overtime.  @rjdub81 went over the point total in yesterday's game so that eliminated him. But JJ Hernandez was closer in points so he won for the week tying him with Zac. Then it comes to the tiebreakers. Both chose the Lions. That was wrong. Then it came down to the Eli's total yards and in the end JJ was closer to the total pulling off a big comeback just like the Giants did in the final week.

Sport Card Collectors Panini Player Of The Day Scavenger Hunt Contest

The following gallery is of the 2013 Player Of The Day base card set, autographs and memorabilia cards from the promo.

However, we wanted to play the great Tracy Hackler game "Scavenger Hunt". The difference is with our contest is that we didn't hide an image, though we did mess with three of them. Your challenge, if you choose to accept, is to tell us which THREE images we messed with and what we changed about them. You can find the real galleries over at Panini's blog the Knights Lance HERE and HERE that might be able to help you figure out the differences.Cause to make this even more challenging, you CANNOT click onto each image to enlarge them :) However, with our not so great Photoshopping it should be easy for most of you to enter :) Make sure you look REAL closely at all of the pictures!
