DA CHAMPS!

I am sure a lot of my non-Giant fan, Patriot fans or non-football fan readers are sick to death of me talking about the two NY Giants Super Bowl wins of recent, but I can't help it. Those were two of the greatest sport moments in my life.

In 2015, Topps celebrated Presidential Celebrations at the White House by putting in a case hit insert. I had never heard of these before until my Twitter friend @clrshonuff told me about them.

When I saw the checklist, I noticed that the Giants had two cards on the checklist, both are from the two Super Bowls I keep talking about.

The cards feature the head coach and the president at the time along with the players in the background.

This is Super Bowl 42 with George Bush. I actually picked this one up for $1.

And then this one, the tougher of the two, landing at $12, was my latest add a couple months ago.

Thanks again to Chris for the heads up on these.

Thoughts on these adds or thoughts on these types of inserts welcomed in comments.

Autograph Of A Super Bowl Hero

So we continue my trade recap with 90's Niche Football Card blog for Day 6 I am showing off a new SPA addition of a NY Giants Super Bowl hero.

If you don't remember, back in Super Bowl 46, the biggest play of the game came from someone I think most forget about, Mario Manningham.

Mario made an incredible sideline toes in-bound catch on the game winning TD drive for the Giants in the game. It was also his catch that saved the game and kept the drive alive when the Giants were backed up with under 5 minutes to play.

So I definitely didn't mind adding his SPA auto to my collection. I didn't have it and I am a fan of SPA which I still consider had the best/most valuable/most seeked rookie cards on the market.

My 2014 Black Friday Steal!

Last year on Twitter, someone sent me a link to Amazon letting me know that there was something on there I would really want. Normally I don't check out links like that, but knowing who sent it, I was fine looking and glad that I did.

Normally I am not a big memorabilia person as I prefer everything in card form, but looking at it and knowing the $20 price tag, I left a quick subtle hint to my wife and in ten minutes it was mine. Grabbed it just in time to as only two were remaining at that point.

Super Bowl 46 Autograph mini helmet of Ahmad Bradshaw.

If you don't recall, he was the winning TD in that game. Technically he should had stopped before the goal line lining the Giants up for a last second game winning FG but fell in by mistake. Which I didn't mind, but the Giants barely held on after Tom Brady's Hail Mary attempt at the end. But, they still won and I still cheer on Ahmad because of his big role in the win.

This was by far the best Black Friday pick up for me in terms of my collection. Not sure if I will look again this year or not.

What's the best steal you have gotten on Black Friday for your collection whether it's cards or memorabilia?

What's In The Mail Box?

With a perfect pick score in the Division Round of the NFL playoffs, I was a lucky recipient of a FREE REAL BIG Fathead of my choice from Fathead on Twitter.

If you don't know what a Fathead is, its a durable lifelike vinyl wall reusable stick 'em. They come in different sizes, teams, players, and some are cut outs and some are murals.

With such a huge selection, it was hard to choose. Then I stumbled upon this 6 ft tall and 4 ft wide mural. A Super Bowl moment that sticks out in my mind. Right after the Giants had gotten a safety on Tom Brady in Super Bowl 46, they drove down the field and scored this touchdown on a slant pass that should have been picked off by Jerod Mayo who was out of position and luckily he was. This was the one I wanted to display. Especially when those Patriot fans come over.

A REAL BIG thanks goes out to Fathead for providing this awesome mail day. This will make my wall look tremendous for many years to come!

As always, thoughts are welcomed on this mail day.
