License Roulette Results: NHL

With the License Roulette now in the books, we thought it would be time to show off the results from each sport that you guys voted for. The voting process was over a two week period with most sports receiving up to 50+ votes each. Thanks to everyone who took a few seconds out to vote.

Now onto the results....followed after the results will be our reaction:

NHL
Leaf                  (26%)
Topps
  (26%)
Panini America
  (57%)
Upper Deck
  (55%)

This just shows that people are happy with the two licensed companies that are already doing NHL and that they don't want anyone else to do it. It was nice to see how close this race was compared to the others in the License Roulette. That's why we think people are happy where the future of the NHL cards are going.

What are your thoughts on the results? Do you agree?

  1. Not so certain just what it shows other than that there is some support for everyone. Panini collectors picked Panini, UD collectors picked UD because both have known products people like. If, say, Topps still had a license or OPC (not the clone) was still in existence, you'd have seen decent numbers there as well.

    1. I see your point. But its great to see that the two licensed companies are being treated almost equally by their fans. This is the only sport that really turned out like this.
