It's football season folks! That time of year where every teams hopes and dreams are high, yes even you Lions fans. Everyone is 0-0 and it's anyone's game until they start.

It's also time for those rookies cards you have been hoarding out of 2021 products to arise. Wait, you don't have any yet? Well, do I have a product suggestion for you. Dive on into a box of Chronicles football and I promise you will find the names you need.

In every hobby box of 2021 Chronicles football there are 6 packs of 8 cards. Each hobby box comes 4 hits, autographs and memorabilia cards, and each box roughly goes for $250.

I figured there was no point in doing a double review of the same product, so here is how the second box went,

Ehlinger (nice looking card) plays for the Colts and Newman signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent. That card is /10

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

First box was a little meh, but what wasn't in the first box was in the second box. So that makes me wonder if some boxes are better than others or maybe that's just the way it appeared this time around.

I really like the mix of cardboard and chromed cards in this break. Made for a fun chase in trying to find the top rookies in each part.

I think price point and value, well, I think this is the closest it can get in today's hobby.

More Eli's Arrived Part 2

As I posted the other day, there was even more Eli's to post about from my latest trade with Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday fame. 

Today is the biggest chunk and most exciting of the group, not that all Eli adds aren't exciting.

Let's take a look at the second half of my Eli additions,

Home & Away

In my latest trade with fellow collector @CardpocalypseNC, I acquired a couple really cool Eli Manning cards.

Back in 2018, Score football included a memorabilia set known as Home & Away where each player featured in the set had two different cards.

 

One card featured their player in their home jersey and included a swatch of said jersey.

While the other card featured the player in the away jersey with a swatch of that said jersey.

I thought this was an excellent idea by Panini to have a set like this and I was hoping to see this kind of concept built upon.

But sadly up to this point, Score 2018 was the only one to include this fun aspect.

I think the only way to possibly improve upon this is to put these cards dual sided.

The Erok That RAKs The Cradle

A couple of weeks ago, my good friend @mrsjokderp911 sent me a Twitter message with a tracking number on it. I had no idea what it was or if he had sent it to the right person, so I asked. He basically told me to wait and see.

Few days later, a mail day arrived with some pretty slick cards inside.

Airborne insert. Hadn't ever seen one of these before. Design is pretty sweet and looks better up close.

Year One jersey card from Rookies And Stars. It's a product I don't get to open anymore since it became a Target exclusive so it's always nice to get cards from products I don't have access to.

I really liked this Jones jersey. Rainbow shine over laid over the top really helps this card stand out.

and to end this mail day, one of my favorite Rodney Hampton autographs of the past few years in Legacy. I still need the 1/1 autograph to complete the set of them and hoping he makes another appearance in the 2020 set.

Kerry Collins Of The Week Part 3

We are already into Week 3 of the Kerry Collins adds and this week there is many more and many more boomers as many of you would call it.

However, it's the first card this week that intrigued me the most. I paid .99 for this card and didn't see it's condition at first til it arrived.

 

But, it's not just the obvious chipping that bothers me about this card.

 

It's the top. Do you see something wrong with the red along the top?

 

Oh look, the seller colored it in with marker. How nice. The reds look like they match from far away, but when you see this card up close, well, there is a bit off and then you turn it sideways for more obvious coloration. I will need a replacement for this card for my PC as I won't count this one.

 

This one popped up for $2.99 and free shipping and I was like, oh yeah! Snagged it immediately. Beautiful card.

1996 Pinnacle Laserview Inscriptions

I was quite impressed with the condition of  the 1996 Inscriptions as a lot of those fade over the years. This one must have been stored right and I now need to store it right. Luckily I have a big shoe box for my Collins PC.
