I Get The Eli-Sation....

 

Every time I rip into a @Brent3323 mail day I get the Eli-sation that I am floating on air above the stadium where the Giants won this upcoming years Super Bowl. Well, one can dream can't they?

Once again @Brent3323 sent my mail day before I was expecting it. I have been trying to prep a return for him but now will have to hurry my way faster. Every Brent mail day comes with some surprises as well which always gets my attention.

Let's check out what he passed along this time.

A great assorment of Giants in which he also hand wrote a note wishing us a great season. He is a fellow Giants fan as well.

One of my favorite TE's ever to watch. This guy could easily control a game with his aggressive play. A lot of people didn't like him, but I did. He could shove a guy to the ground and run for 40 yards.

 A couple more Giants and a couple of new 2019 rookies

 Ryan Lindley who looked pretty solid in the game vs the Giants, my first card of his and D.K. Metcalf who a lot of people, especially Seahawk fans are excited about.

This was a pretty cool surprise...some kind of parallel from Rookies And Stars of Andre Williams numbered 4/5!

I don't know if it's the Strata autograph relic why I wanted this or the fact I have at least another 4 West autos that I thought would be fun to add another. Either way, it's here.

This guy has looked solid with the Patriots. I traded away another auto I had so wanted to add another

This guy will be soon out of the NFL. Even for the Redskins he can't block. I hope he stays so he faces the Giants but I don't think he does. I collect Giants cards so no matter if he is a bust or not, he is a Giant and I will add him.

And the final card is a Kenneth Dixon auto jersey. NFL Prospecting for me I guess. I also liked the Phoenix auto cards.

Breakin Wax:Jammin JD Sports Cards Superior Hits Pack Break

I am always into trying new things just to see what they are in the hobby. That's what brings us to today's product you may or may not have heard of before.

They are Jammin JD Sport Cards hit football packs. There are three levels to try and currently only football is offered. My pack break is the medium level with Superior. There is also the low level of Solid Hits and a higher level of Elite Hits. All 3 can be found on the Jammin JD Sports Cards website, HERE..

In each Superior Hits pack, you will find 10 cards that will run for $39.99 a pack. Those will be broken down as follows.

• 5 Hits, at least 2 Autographed Cards
• 2 Rookies
• 2 Serial-Numbered Cards
• 1 Insert

Hits in these packs are Jersey Cards, Autographed Cards and Printing Plates.

So let's see how it goes.

Up first, here are my insert finds. The Phillip Rivers is /25 and the Wayne is /49. Overall, a good group of players.

I also lucked out in my pack and instead of that fifth insert, I got an extra hit.

49/49. I think this is my first Immaculate card.

Nice looking card with a solid patch. West is having a pretty solid season for Baltimore. I bet Cleveland wished they hadn't let him go even though it would take more than a running back to fix their team. 

I pulled a lot of West and surprisingly don't have this one. Maybe I should PC him haha.

My final pull was a nice 3-color auto patch of Kenny Stills. He has had an up and down season, but will still be a solid add to my rookie auto collection for a just-in-case.

 

Overall, a solid break. If you think about it, each card would have to value at least $4 each and I think in the end they even out that way from some research I did. I do wished I had pulled a Giant, but you just don't know what you will find in these since they are randomly packed.

Breakin Wax:2014 Panini Rookies And Stars Football

When you find a deal, you gotta jump on it or you will regret it. So when I found a box of 2014 Rookies and Stars with a chance at Odell Beckham among other big time rookies in that class for under $33, I said yes. So here is how I did....

In every box of 2014 Panini Rookies and Stars is 25 packs with 8 cards per pack. You will find four hits per box with a mix of inserts as well. Boxes on average run you around $40.

I skipped the base and went for my best rookies this time. Photo variation of Watkins and an Odell rookie!

Tons of inserts. This group has ODELL!

Pulled a Drew Brees Base Longevity Holo Foil Numbered to 99

CRUSADES! Man I love these! Panini should just do a football set all with these.

Sorry for a sideways photo, but a nice Tom Brady Crusade purple parallel numbered to 49. Has a good book value too.

Two jersey cards. Both aren't too shabby.

Wished Hyde hadn't gotten hurt, but at least we know who will be in SF's backfield for awhile.

And it seems every box of 2014 I opened, West was there. I can't believe it. I must have at least 8 of his autographed rookies. Maybe a player I should PC. I would be fine with it if he was talented. But being cut by the Browns is never a good sign.

Overall, the Odell inserts may have saved this break along with the big hit of the box the Tom Brady Crusade. I think I still got decent book value for what I paid so I am still pleased.

Breakin Wax:2014 Topps Platinum Football Blaster Box (AUTO!)

Topps Platinum+Marked Down Box At Walmart=One Happy Collector.

One of my favorite Topps products, other than Chrome, Topps Platinum comes packing with lots of colorful offerings right up my alley.

In every blaster box of 2014 Topps Platinum football, there are 8 packs of 4 cards. Normally these cost $20, but this one was $11.97. I always find the odds for autographs are much higher in Platinum and for the blasters.

Base card design is really nice. If I can't get my action photography, I want this.

The rookies are printed on a much different surfrace than the base. The base cards are printed on cardboard while the rookies on a chrome surface.

I pulled two great X-factors too.

And to my surprise, but not really, an autograph find. However, it's my stalker, Terrance West.

Overall, great deal. I got a couple good rookies, nice parallels and an auto. Can't go wrong.

Dual Mail Day Of Awesomeness! Contest Score, Trading, GREAT CARDS GALORE!

It's always a sad day when you go to the post office and no packages arrive. That's the way I felt the last two days. However, today was much different as two nice packages arrived. It caused for a celebratory dance in the post office parking lot and a package being opened before I got home.

My first package contained this Museum Collection autograph of C.J. Wilson from APBoomBox on Twitter that he mailed to me just for being a great follower. Thanks again man for the nice PC piece. This also happens to be my first card from Museum Collection.

My second package came from a new trading partner on Twitter in @ElbertPhillips. I have had a 2014 Ha-Ha Clinton Dix Contenders Autograph SSP /25 up for trade for awhile now and finally found someone who really wanted to trade for it.  

We went back and forth on Twitter for a little bit but had the trade worked out pretty fast.

Here is some sweet items I was able to bring home!

Yes, I know I have complained about pulling this guy in what seems every box I open, but I guess the prospector in me is hoping he can put up big numbers next year in Cleveland. If not, maybe I should PC him too lol.

Same goes for Savage. I really like Contenders and I think Savage has a legit chance to start for Houston who is building quite a team. So adding my first auto of him I hope is a good move.

Next up is a baseball auto I couldn't turn away. Once again as someone who likes to prospect some, I like to hope Lake could someday be a star. But, that's not the main reason I traded for this card. I really like the design and swatches on it. It looks really cool.

Of course I had to keep adding to my Andre Williams collection. Here is a nice sized jersey card with a stitch sticking out on the right hand side.

And a sweet Dre auto /25 from Hot Rookies.

And finally the card that set this trade in motion. This thing is BEAUTIFUL and even more so in person. Panini did an excellent job with this product and I can't say that enough. Black Gold may be one of the best looking products of the year.

But here is that beautiful card I spoke of above, it's a dual patch card of Eli and Peyton that's numbered to 25.

Ever since this morning I have been unable to take my eyes off from it.....so so pretty...just look at the nice swatches too.... overall a nice looking card.

A big thanks goes out to Elbert on the trade and for being a great trading partner. He is someone I highly recommend and plan on going back to trade with again. Possibly very soon.
