Nuttin' But The Yankee Hits Part 3
Part 3 gives us some better Yanks to showcase before I finish up with some old timers tomorrow.
Here are a couple of Moose relics. He was another great Yankees acquisition. I really like the pinstripe swatch on the Ultra card.

Godzilla!!!! I remember going to the local home show and finding a box of 2003 Upper Deck MVP baseball trying to chase down his rookie card and pulled one. Later on I added the Prestige pants swatch and traded for the bat swatch last year. Would love to add an autograph someday.
CC. Feels like this guy has been around for ever and ever. Well, he has. At least it appears he will finish his career with the Yankees. If you look closely at this trio of relics you would think I have three of the same card, well, that's not the case. It appears Topps got lazy and used the same photo on the bottom one as well.
This card serves as both Yankees hit PC and a unique relic swatch since it's from a workout jersey from the All Star game.
Robinson Cano was another Yankee who left too soon like Soriano. This guy could simply hit the ball hard.
There's the end of Part 3. Only one more medium sized showcase left to go. Like I said, my Yankees hits PC is pretty small.

Mail Day Saturday:Reader Mail Day Part THE FINALE
We have finally come to the end of my mail day from Sport Card Collectors reader, Grady M.
Today, I am showcasing all of the hits he sent along in that box that was jammed pack full of inserts and base card goodness. These are just the topping of it all.
Up first, CC. I still like the design on these.

Even though McCann is no longer a Yank or one in this photo, I still like him and I definitely like Gypsy Queen mini relics.
Pineda! My first Yanks relic of his and it comes in the form of the holiday boxes Topps put out in 2016. My first relic from those as well. They look pretty good up close.
Another new Shepard. I expect huge things from this guy next season.
And finally, another rookie I expect to have a huge impact in 2017, Eli Apple.
A huge thanks goes out to my buddy Grady M for the entire mail day that took me months to share. I am still in the works of putting together another package for you that I hope to get out in the next month or so.
Thoughts on my entire mail day or anything from today's welcomed in comments.

Mail Day Saturday:Reader's Mail Day Part 1:Little Of Everything
I posted last weekend about my latest mail day from Sport Card Collectors reader Grady M and thought it was time I started to break this down to show what was hidden inside of this box.

To save myself some time and to save this from being broken down to 7 or 8 posts, I cut my pictures in half and made stacks for certain sections. But, I will do my best to generalize what was in there.
Up first, you can't see it that well, but there was a stack of NY Ranger base cards. Mostly from Upper Deck.
This is only one of four parts I am posting on this mail day. Plenty more to show coming up soon.

I pulled this Randy Johnson out because it was my first 2016 Topps baseball insert. I have been really slacking with my box busts recently. I haven't opened any 2015 Topps Chrome baseball or football and no 2016 Topps baseball which are usually musts for me. That's what happens when funds are low.
I also pulled this out cause I really dig the design. Topps did a great job with these perspectives in my opinion.
First Pitch is one of my favorite inserts from Topps flagship in some time. It's outside the box thinking and I like that. OH, not to mention I got a new Griffey from Gypsy Queen in the bottom right.
Tons of minis! Gypsy Queen, Allen and Ginter and Upper Deck Goodwin Champions.

Reader's Mail Day Part 4 Of 7:THHHHEEEEEEE YANKEEEEES!
Part 4 of my mail day from Grady, we narrow it down a bit to just NYY. This years team still surprised me a bit I must say. I didn't think the pitching would hold up but somehow it has and they are playoff bound. I won't make any predictions as the MLB playoffs can sometimes be unpredictable, but this could be a quiet team going in that could make some noise.
First up in this mail day portion, some new additions.
Sadly, my first Gregorius in a Yanks uni.
A few more newbies to my PC. Digging the framed and the Ellsbury.
And closing it up, yes with a few heads cut off, are all new Topps Chrome additions including one Derek Jeter.
Part four featured my favorite baseball team, tomorrow, my favorite football team. Stay tuned for that portion of the mail day!

Jammin JDcards Mail Day Part 1:Jammin With ALL HITS!
In the first part of my mail day from Jammin JDcards, I will be sharing low-end hits I got at an awesome price. Like I keep saying, if you haven't checked them out yet, you are missing out!
I love Ginter mini relics. They are probably one of the best looking relics out there. Even for a single color like this Phil Hughes, still cool.
In the unique department, All-Star Game Worn workout jersey. Unique+A Yankee=Win!
Up next I dig into some G-men! Season is right around the corner!
Mario Manningham rookie jersey card
These were one of the better looking manu-relics, I miss Bradshaw some. The biggest problem was keeping him healthy to play.
Mark Herzlich really needs to step up this season for this Giants defense to make any impact.
And there are big expectations for Hankins. It's been said he could be the leagues best defensive tackle by years end.
A pretty solid opening mail day from Jammin JDcards right here. If you guessed that Ken Griffey Jr. was involved in Part 2, you are right. Check back in tomorrow for that one!

Yard Sale Find # 3: 1999 Bowman Baseball
We recently posted about a Yard Sale we went to and picked up a bunch of sports cards at (mostly baseball). We thought it would be fun to take you on the journey with us to discover what is inside of every box, every single we got picking out the best ones along the way to show. We hope you enjoy the trip and comments are always welcomed.
The box was labeled 1999 Bowman Baseball
Base card adds..Derek Jeter, Andy Pettite, Tony Gwynn among others.
HUGE stacks of rookies and prospect cards!
Parallels. Some of top rookies CC Sabathia and AJ Burnett
Great rookie card finds in 2 Sabathia's, Tim Hudson, Matt Holliday
More great rookie finds in Furcal, Soriano and Adam Dunn
Was yet impressed again of what we found in this box. There was maybe about 20 base cards and the remaining were rookies and parallels. Wished there had been a Josh Hamilton but we definitely scored well hitting all of the top rookies but his.
Three boxes down, many, many, many more to break into and view what's in there. We are saving the boxes with singles in them for last. Those three boxes may take a few posts for each to break down.

Fenway Parks 100th....the way I wanted it celebrated :)
There is nothing better than not only watching the Yankees win, but watching them beat their rival Boston. And to put the icing on the cake, it was a day that they were celebrating their stadiums 100th year opening. Something that brought also all of the former Red Sox, Red Sox retirees and legends to the stadium as well. Which makes the win for the Yanks a great one. Just to rub it one more time to the current and former Red Sox players. Sorry, if you are a Red Sox fan reading this.
To me, the Yankees had their best pitcher on the mound yesterday. Sorry C.C., you just don't have it this season. Now the question is, is it time to start chasing down his rookie cards? He had an incredible rookie season winning double digit games and now if off to a hot and fast start.

Another surprise in yesterday's 6-2 win over the Sox, was the surprising 2 home run game by Eric Chavez. He showed some of his old likeness when he was an all-star third baseman with the A's.
I don't know how the Yankees will fare for the rest of the season. I see their pitching as a definite weak point. Freddy Garcia reminds me of Kevin Brown, past his prime. C.C. Sabathia doesn't look the same. And the rest of the staff besides Nova have not pitched well. I am sure as the season progresses they will get better. If not, the Yank's will most likely make a move for a pitcher at the Trade Deadline. The offense is as powerful as always and Jeter is off to a good start.
But despite how rest of the season goes... yesterday's win, was a great one.
