Mail Day Saturday:Trade With 90's Niche Football Card Blog Part 2

Throughout this week, you have been treated to my Psych autograph card pickups from 90's Niche Football Card blog and you were even shown my biggest hobby accomplishment yet, today, I continue to roll out this big mail day.

But, this isn't quite the finale yet, next Saturday one card is left that had be shown by itself because it's a Hoot!

Now onto Part 2 of the big part of the trade.

I saved the key relics and autographs in our trade to show off this week.

Four new Eli Manning relics start us off. I totally love the Fabric Of The Game with the relic being under the Giants wording.

Yes, another Eli. This time paired up with Tiki.

Did I say Tiki? Why yes I did. A sick Tiki Fabric Of The Game /25. I like the jersey along with the design. It shows how tightly woven jerseys are now compared to then.

Up next, a future superstar in Paul Perkins. Giants are very high on this guy and I think if the Oline gives him the space, he could make a major impact in the NFL.

This card was featured over at Snagging Cardboard in it's inaugarual week. If you haven't checked out that blog yet, do so. All of my future NY Giants pickups will only be featured on there.

And we finish it up with a pink Prizm Shepard auto. I dig Prizm, really sharp parallels. It's still not a Chrome replacement, but closing in on it.

Part 2 brought some major boom to the party. Next weeks finale of my most recent trade with 90's Niche Football Card Blog is just one card, but it's pretty cool and brings me back to the 90's somewhat. What is it? Well, come back and see then!

Mail Day Saturday:Reader Mail Day Part VIIII

Part VIIII is absolutely loaded with football Prizm awesomeness. Some from 2016 and some from 2015. Either way, it's a winner.

Up first, lots of rookie Prizms including DROY Joey Bosa. Oh yes, Kevin White is in there to but I guess with his playtime in 2015 this could be a rookie of him haha.

These will bring a sparkle to your eye. It's not just the border, it's the bubbly pop in the background. Just incredible.

Lot's of color in this group with Carson Palmer. The bottom make me think I need to jump into the card and I will be transported to that game.

Some shining stars that are actually shining! I sure hope Todd Gurley can shine again.

A Dazzling Fitz!

Some cool older parallels including Dickerson.

And speaking of Dickerson, he finishes up this part of the mail day.

Only two-parts remain in this mail day. One is a bit chromey, the other, hits loaded. I will take a break from those parts next week and showcase another recent mail day that was a big help and cheap acquisition towards my Psych autograph set chase. Stay tuned and leave your thoughts on today's mail day part below and your thoughts on Prizm football.

I Am In Prizm!:Grady M Mail Day Part 9

We have finally got this down to the final two posts of this epic mail day. Today's post features the rest of the shiny-stuff.

Up first, Crusades. I have said this for awhile, this needs to be its own product for football.

Sick looking Troy! Sparkly and shiny!

Topps rainbow foils.

Oh no! I am headed to Prizm! Lot's of color and shine with these!

More Prizm with some great players like Von Miller and Marcus Mariota.

Numbered shiny including an Anthony Barr numbered to 32.

These Cooperstown cracked ice look amazing. Even got Gehrig and Robinson!

And I finish this up with some Platinum.

Only one more post to go. I would say that I saved the best for last, but there was way too much good stuff in here to make that statement. So, I saved the hits for last that also includes a 1/1!

REVIEW:2015 Panini Prizm Collegiate Draft Picks

Panini's second CLC release comes in the form of another Panini favorite of mine, Prizm. This is my second break and review of it. I don't mind breaking this twice that's for sure!

How did this round of Draft Picks stack up against my first break, well, you know what to do....READ ON!

In every box of 2015 Prizm Draft Picks football, you will find 12 packs per box with 5 cards per pack. You will also find two autographs, 24 Draft Picks, four Prizms, one Stained Glass insert and three additional inserts.A nice layout without being overdone as finding the Prizm parallels and inserts may help drive up their values a bit. Box prices are nice running mostly around $40 a box.

The design is simple. Chromed cards with a player in the forefront all done in their college uni's. There are 250 cards in the base set with 100 of those being veterans.....

and 150 of them being rookies/draft picks such as this Gurley. He was actually the top find in my box with only a couple rookies per pack and 24/150 per box.

My box was pretty good in terms of getting Prizm parallels. I got 6 total. You can look for the following lineup of Prizms:
  • Prizms
  • Red Power Prizms
  • Camo Prizms #/199
  • Purple Flash Prizms #/99
  • Blue Prizms #/75
  • Tie-Dyed Prizms #/49
  • Red, White and Blue Mojo Prizms #/25
  • Gold Prizms #/10
  • Green Prizms #/5
  • Orange Prizms #/5
  • Black Finite Prizms 1/1
I found 5 regular Prizms and one Camo in my box. One of my regular Prizms is posted below with the other inserts.

Sorry about this picture being sideways, my camera phone wasn't cooperating.

The other inserts just look cool! They are well designed and the Prizm shine makes them look even more outstanding. However, I would have liked to have seen these as regular cards first and have a Prizm parallel to. Not just straight up Prizms for all. Of course that may be the 90's collector in me coming out as well. My favorite design of them all was the Stained Glass insert. These are stunning and even more so in person.

Once again, my phone wanted it like this...

Seems the autographed cards in Prizm are Prizms. Once again, my box was weak with my autographs but this break was a tad better with the Dorsett find.

This is the first I have seen of Dorsett's autograph up close. I really like his signature.
My box was weak, but with some very tough parallel pulls to be had and a nice price point, I can't see why you wouldn't bust one of these just for fun. You never know what rare parallel or what autograph could be within.

Retail Break 'Em: 2013 Panini Prizm Rack Pack

I must have made quite a few Walmart trips, walkbys and card purchases before I finally decided to pick up one of these 20% off discounted 2013 Prizm rack packs. I don't know what made that day different than any other, but for some reason I decided to pick up a pack.

Upon reading the packaging while in line to pay for it, I read that not only was there three packs, but each pack came with three blue pulsar Prizms or as most of us call them, refractors. That sold me more. It honestly sold me so much that I didn't even make it home with the pack and opened it in the car.

Here was the best base card player. Does it get any better?

The rookie cards. One per pack.

The Panini HRX cards, one per pack

Blue pulsar #1. Not bad. I immediately had my eyes drawn to these. Panini did a great job with 'em. Beautiful cards!

Number 2 was much better. This card alone made it worth the buy,.

Then finally, this one was hiding last. I was pretty stoked.
Overall I question why I waited so long. I didn't get anything from the packs, but the parallels I pulled were well worth the $6 I paid and not just because of the players. These are some of the more impressive parallels I have seen in person and especially from Prizm.

Hoping the next time I go to Walmart that there is another pack hanging there for me.

Hobby Break 'Em: 2013 Prizm Football Hobby Box

If you have been reading this blog, you know by now I am caught up with things that are both chromed and shiny so that is what leads me to this break of 2013 Panini Prizm football.

Each box of Prizm 2013 football has 2 autographs, 3 Prizms (refractors in layman's terms) and a few inserts. There is 20 packs per box with 6 cards per pack. Each pack has a rookie or two. Boxes for 2013 will run you under $65.

Eli Manning for my PC

Geno rookie. I didn't get one of these the first time I busted the product

My three Prizms...

Other inserts. Not too much of a fan of them but did like the Monday Night Heroes design

One of these per pack. You can scan the back of the card on your phone to unlock a video

Autograph number one..not great...

Then finally a good one. If this guy can stay out of trouble, he is going to be another beast in the history of beast running backs for the Steelers.
Overall, not a bad break for the price. I like the Bell pull and I also pulled most of the top rookies so there was definitely value.

I am pretty happy with the results and for the price of Prizm football 2013 right now, I would most likely go back and try another.
