Giants Cardboard: TCov's Surprise

Twitter is full of friends from near to afar for me. @tcovcards11 is far but one of the nearest friends I have being only a state away.

Once again he hit me with an amazing RAK.

Up first are a pair of LT's. One is the base insert Banner Season and the other is Banner Season Green parallel which really stands out. Everyone knows me and shiny cards.

A new Eli for the collection. Trying to continue to grow my Eli collection whenever I can and however I can.

A good mix of G-men in here from both past and present and some Rodney's I did have. But, I don't mind because if they are in better condition then the ones I have they replace those.

Two Andre Brown autographs for the Giants autograph collection. I can't remember if I have either of these but will check that out when I start to organize my Giants hits by player. When it comes to Giants hits and relics in my collection, I will take dupes, triples and how many ever.

And finally, I never get sick of seeing this card. I do have multiple copies of it but each copy is unique in it's own way as the autographs are different, as they should be, on each one. This one may be one of the better signed ones I have so it will replace the main one I have for that collection.

Big thanks to @TcovCards11 for the mail day! You're a great friend from near and afar!

Ending 2019 With A Bang!

2019 wasn't as big of a year as 2018 was for me with card adds, but it wasn't the worst year I ever had either. I was able to at least cross some needs off from my checklist and some of that was from help with others.

One of them that helped me knock a few cards down was my buddy @StephenJFurlong recently.

Some Rodney's that were on my want list

Kerry Collins Starting Lineup. I believe he only has two so I am only one away from having both now. This is believed to be his rookie one.

And finally, a Fred Taylor autograph. Fred has been on my list for a couple of years as a 90's guy I have been needing. I really loved watching Fred run and the Jags were my second favorite team in the 90's so it was an obvious need. I also like Fred's signature and added jersey number. Gavin, from Baseball Card Breakdown blog may also take note this is a "Christmas Card".

Glad to finally cross Taylor's autograph off but still have many more to go!

Thanks @StephenJFurlong for the mail day! I know there is more on the way but I will post that at a later date.

Up next, generosity was shown to me to end the year as @heyitsTMurph grabbed a card for me that @BrilliantCards had for sale on Twitter as a Christmas gift. It was a dual booklet autograph featuring a NY Giant and that other NY team.
Front:

Inside:

Shonn Greene on one side

Andre Brown on the other. He actually signed his on the patch. My hope is that the autograph don't fade over time. I have a couple Letterman signed by Brown and they have faded badly on the fabric that hasn't seen the light of day.

This marks only my third Giants booklet in my collection. Thanks @heyitsTMurph for the mail day!

And finally, my last trade of 2019, I did have one trade before this one which I plan to show tomorrow, but this was the literally final one of 2019 and was done with my buddy @CrattyPatty25 who posted some Lamar Jacksons FS/FT.

And knowing me, I had to have them. It's a very, very small slight side PC I have.
First Down parallel /99

 Timeless Tributes /99 parallel

Bonus card he nicely tossed in!

I am still looking for an autograph card of Lamar and Mahomes but doubt I will ever be able to get one at this point.

Thanks for the trade @CrattyPatty25 and here's to more in 2020.

I hope all of you have a Happy, safe New Years Eve. Don't make stupid decisions like being under the influence and driving. Be smart, be safe and see you next year! (I plan to be in bed by 9:30 like usual)

Too Many Giants

Here is the second part of my mail day from Too Many Verlanders. Today's showcases some new NY Giants additions and some hits.

In this first group, we have a good handful of numbered cards and rookies. Also a very shiny Odell Beckham Jr.

The next group gives me a couple new Eli's, a sweet Ike Hilliard 90's Rated Rookie, and a few new Brandon Jacobs. The talk is Wayne Gallman could be the next Jacobs this year for them. We will see.

Pink refractors. I am not sure how far I am with Williams, but I have decent Victor Cruz rainbow started and this is a newbie to it. Think I have 5 of the cards I need towards a rainbow now. However, the Super would probably be impossible to find.

Tools Of The Trade. I loved everything about these. The breakdown where the pieces came from on the card, the layout, the color and design.

A new letterman auto. I collect those and Giants ones are a bonus!

And to finish it up, a Austin Romine auto. I assume this was done TTM or in-person. I am sure Too Many Verlanders could clarify.

A HUGE thanks goes out to Too Many Verlanders for this awesome mail day and for thinking of me for your Yankees. I hope to get a return mail day out to you in the next few weeks.

Random Card Of The Day: Andre Brown Topps Platinum Football Rookie Auto

This guy came up big yesterday for the Giants stepping in for Ahmad Bradshaw after he got injured. Brown rushed for 71 yards on 13 carries and scored a late TD. Could he be a star in the making...time can only tell
