I will touch base on those changes in a second as we take a further look into the product. One that I may use a “Red Card” on.
In every box of 2019 Topps MLS is 24 packs of 8 cards per pack. There will be three hits, well should be (read more on this later on), which will be two jumbo relics and one dual relic. That’s right, no guaranteed autographs. That’s painful and was a huge adjustment to make. Boxes currently run $90.

And my favorite, Team Photos.
As with any Topps flagship product, there are parallels to find and these are pretty easily found in packs just by looking at the color background.
I pulled blue /99 that fall 1:8 packs
And I pulled Gold /50 that fall 1:15 packs.
Seems like a lot of parallels to me for those odds and only 24 packs. Wonder if it’s making up for something….
Other parallels to find as well include Orange/25, Red /10 and Black 1/1.
I didn’t pull any, but there are base card image variations to find as well. They fall 1:47 packs and have 1/1 black parallels. You can find 15 cards to chase.
There are a variety of inserts to find in the product as well. These have parallels of Orange /25, Red /10 and Black 1/1. Young Phenoms that has 20 cards to chase and falls 1:6 packs.
Throwback Topps insert falls 1:6 packs and has 20 cards to collect
All-Stars that have 23 cards fall 1:4 packs
And All-Stars Orange /25 that falls 1:246 packs.
Now onto the hits. Well, hit. That’s right I am throwing a Red Card right here for a serious foul and for using violent actions towards me.
Here was my one hit, a dual relic.
Other hits to find that I didn’t include,
Overall Thoughts: Well, ugh. Sigh. It’s really hard to judge here what value may have been for this product or at least this box if I had landed the other two hits. Right now I would put a Yellow Card on it because it’s hard to tell what may have been.
I think taking out the autograph content and keeping prices where they are is a bad move. A lot of collectors aren’t into relic cards anymore and strictly would chase for autographs especially soccer fans in a product that has all of the big names. I have seen some complaints about this across social media already.
I have also not seen many great things being said about this years line across Twitter. It's too bad to as this was a soccer fans go-to product for affordability and hits. I feel the same way as many as it was way dulled down this year.

If soccer is your thing, mention it to my favorite breaker I use Midwest Box Breaks and who knows, maybe they will break some.
