The Oldest Baseball Card I Own.....Now

Yesterday was my only mail day of the week but it was a great one.

I got a package from Jammin JDcards(I will show this off another day but let's just say it helps out #MissionGriffey) and another from @RJDUB81 that contained a contents from a contest I had won which is what this post is all about.

Up for grabs in the contest, was this Bowman Chrome Prospect auto of Daniel Corcino that fits right into my rookie card PC. But, what I didn't know was what he was throwing in for extras.

First up for an extra was this Momentum rookie card of Chris Harper. Sometimes you never know with these guys which is why I hold onto all of them.

Then a Neon Deion Sanders Museum Collection base card  I didn't care much for him when he was a Cowboy as he drove me nuts when he played the Giants. I can accept this card into my collection. I know a lot would look at base and toss them, but I collect base cards and always have.

And finally to my shock, would be the oldest card I would own overall...

A 1952 Bowman Marlin Stuart card. And when I say shock, I wasn't joking. I was in such shock I was holding this card that I actually messaged him to ask if it was real lol. I hadn't ever thought it would happen. It's a beautiful card and by far the oldest baseball and sport card in my collection. I have always wanted to own a 1952 Bowman card and didn't care who the player was and now I have one. I actually have one!

And in case you were wondering, the back of the card is just as purty!
A huge thanks goes out to @RJDUB81 for this beauty and for the rest of the contest winnings. If you are not following him yet on Twitter, please do so. Great guy and he has random contests!

  2. I really like the 1952 Bowman set. it is one of the very first sets I ever put together. It is a very underrated set because of the 1952 Topps.
