Talkin' Toys:1993 McDonalds Ghost Bucket

Does this image mean anything to you? Bring back any warm memories? It does for me.

This is a 1993 McDonalds Ghost Halloween bucket. You would get one of these buckets as your toy from McDonalds and it would also contain your Happy Meal. I believe I collected a few of these that I later turned into sand toys outside but lost them over the years. When I saw this one sitting next on a table at the daycare I had no choice but to grab it.

Each bucket had a main character, this one being a ghost, with decorations around it of the same character. I think I had the pumpkin as well.

The only disappointing part of this bucket is the fact the top is missing but the cover is still there and still is a pretty cool piece.

It looks like these don't go for very much but I am okay with that. I got it for free and the memories and nostalgia that comes with it is so much more meaningful.

  1. I do remember these! I was a little too old to have my own but my nephews had a couple of these. Very cool.

  2. I remember these, but it's hard to distinguish what I've seen personally from things I've seen on people's blogs. Jon over at Penny Sleeves has written about his buckets before:

  3. You stole it from a daycare?

    1. No. If you missed the first post of this series a friend of mine bought an old day care which has all of the toys left behind in. So they were selling off all of the toys and I went and bought a ton of them for my toy collection

  4. I have more Halloween pails than I'd ever admit to, so yes, I definitely "remember" these (especially when I can see this very one up on the wall as I'm typing this).

    1. Just saw your collection of them! Excellent! The most memorable one for me is the pumpkin with the stem. I know I used to use that one going around!

    2. I've never shown all of them on the blog before, just some of the ones that I've gotten since starting the blog. It might be fun to try to get all of them into a Halloween themed post though, something to think about I suppose.
