10-Year Blogversary

Today, Sport Card Collectors turns 10 years old. That's right, 10 years. In blogging terms, that is like 85 years.

A lot has changed on this blog over the 10 years. Sponsors have come and gone. Views have been up and down. Followers have left and come back and left. Comments have dissipated to maybe one to two a day then somedays more. And my posts have come and gone from fillers to real posts to fillers to posts. It's all been quite the trip and i have enjoyed the journey through the ups and downs.

I have spent the past month, hence all of the "filler posts" trying to decide my blogging future on here and i decided..... it will continue afterall. For those 28 viewers this morning that saw my retirement from here, i retract it. I am Tom Brady (we know he will be back), except I don't have the looks, the money, or the Super Bowl rings.

So let's enjoy this Sport Card Collectors day of celebration and a big milestone!

I can't believe it's been 10 years and that I haven't missed a single day on here in those 10 years. Not all posts in those 10 years have been my best, but it didn't  mean some effort to continue such a streak wasn't put in.

I would like to send out a big thank you out to everyone who has been a part of the 10 years on here and the years to come. Whether you were a passerby, read a few posts, shared some of my posts, entered a contest, was a sponsor or are a friend. I appreciate all of you.

Year Five, Sport Card Collectors blog grew to 679,331 overall views. 5,325 Twitter Followers and 541 Facebook LIKES.

Year Six, Sport Card Collectors blog grew to 952,540 overall views. 6,272 Twitter Followers and 627 Facebook LIKES.

Year Seven, Sport Card Collectors blog grew to 1,268,414 overall views. 7,120 Twitter Followers and 815 Facebook LIKES.

Year Eight, Sport Card Collectors blog grew to 1,595,972 overall views. 8,353 Twitter Followers and 1291 Facebook LIKES before I ended the page. 

Year Nine, Matt's Wonderful Blog Of Hobbies grew to 1,814,262 overall views.  9,763 Twitter Followers and 780 Instagram Followers

Year Ten, Sport Card Collectors grew to 2,029,117 overall views.  10.9K Twitter Followers, 1427 Facebook LIkes and 1095 Instagram Followers

A lot of growth this past year in terms of views which is my highest ever, though it didn't feel like it.
